Time and again, the importance of handholding the underserved with means to avail of reliable income-generating opportunities have been brought to the fore. We believe simple things like transferring the knowledge on innovative and sustainable livelihood practices to the poor and vulnerable communities, supporting them to gain access over land and livelihood assets and mobilising them through institution building can ensure food security and improve their quality of life.
The developmental status of any society is reflected by the level of motivation and commitment of the youth in the community. We believe orienting the youth to develop the right attitude and skill set, encouraging them to be active citizens through sensitizing them on the structures of governance process, making them the agents of peace and conflict resolutions and informing and engaging them in discussions on issues of social concern can trigger profound transformation in the society.
BHAGWA HIND is a global organisation striving for social justice, human rights and social development through the development of social work, best practices and international cooperation.
Unbalanced development is inadequate development. Our work revolves around working with young boys and men within a positive fatherhood model, promoting women farmers and working with young adolescent girls towards creating awareness about their sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Cities in India have been bursting at its seams with increasing population; its infrastructure hardly proportionate to the rapid growth. The worst affected are the poor, working primarily in the informal sector. We know that a safe refuge called home, three square meals a day, access to basic amenities like health, water and sanitation and the right to earn a decent living can uplift the lives of thousands of urban informal sector workers or as we call them, the City Makers.
BHAGWA HIND strives to build climate-resilient communities who are better adapt to changing climate, and disasters. Our focus will be on establishing diverse and integrated agricultural systems with a focus on Climate-Smart Agriculture, soil and water conservation and management, natural resource management and sustainable technologies (clean energy, weather forecasting and agro advisory).
